The ‘NWWI’ (Dutch Housing Value Institute) aims to optimize the quality of valuation reports. Brokers who are affiliated with the NWWI must meet strict conditions to be able to give out appraisal reports. The NWWI monitors the quality of both the reports and the appraiser. C&D brokerage as NWWI appraiser is obliged to substantiate the valuation according to uniform and concrete guidelines. All financial institutions in the Netherlands accept a valuation report that has been validated by the NWWI. A number of banks have made a report validated by the NWWI obligatory for both ‘NHG’ and ‘non-NHG’ financing.
